We are pleased to add to our ongoing series devoted to Mount Ventoux the remarkable feat of Lode de Paepe, age 35, an electronics engineer from Gand (Belgium) who, last August 18th, climbed the Giant of Provence three times on a unicycle.

Both a worthy feat on the Road to the Stars and a true sports achievement, this performance began at 06:00 at the village square in Bédoin, and ended at 20:00 after the climbs from Bédoin, Malaucène, and Sault.

The Cyclop of Ventoux is born!

We agreed to include Lode de Paepe in our Masters category, and to invite him to join us for the Master Series and the Day of Records on June 26, 2004.
